Diwali Puja Vidhi at home :
The worship of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi during Diwali has its own purpose. It is the evening period that is considered to be the auspicious time for you to begin the Lakshmi Ganesh Puja. There are a plethora of items that complete the puja. Here each Puja Samagri carries importance when one is performing this puja Vidhi.
Decide the place where the Diwali Puja Vidhi at home is to be done, clean it with Gangajal or plain water, and draw a beautiful rangoli. Then place a new & clean cloth on the wooden chowki and arrange lamps on all four sides.
Then keep the statues or the picture frames of Lord Ganesha, Mata Lakshmi & Mata Saraswati on the chowki. To take a note, the frame of Goddess Lakshmi should be on the right side of Shri Ganesh.
No worship or puja Vidhi is complete without Sankalp. Here, you need to take flowers, water, & Akshat in your hands, close your eyes & worship God & Goddesses with all your devotion. In a Kalash filled with water add Durva, betel nuts, gems, silver coin, Akshat, marigold flower & mango leaves partly inside & partially outside-facing upward.
Next, wrap a cloth around the coconut & place it on the Kalash. Draw Swastika with Kumkum on Kalash and place it on a handful of grains and then offer rice, incense sticks, flowers, and light-up a lamp. Worship all the deities including Lord Vishnu, Kubera, and other deities.
Once done, worship the Lord by reciting Lakshmi Aarti and with folded hands pray for forgiveness for the mistakes you have committed. With immense devotion and faith in your heart pray to Lord for His blessing, prosperity, well-being, and happiness for your entire family.
